Abstract

Sphaeropsocus bicolor n. sp. is described. It is the first living species of its genus, known otherwise only from the generotype, Sphaeropsocus kuenowii Hagen, a fossil species from the Baltic amber (Eocene). A key to the living and fossil genera of the family Sphaeropsocidae, based on females, is included.
